The Coalition

The Coalition began in the early days of the flood. It started with a few governments and factions realizing that in such times of turmoil they would be better off working together in order to survive and preserve the order of their ways. Over time The Coalition expanded greatly and welcomed many new groups into their ranks; anywhere from small militias to larger factions to whole governing bodies. Through that expansion the coalition has grown to become what it is today. The Coalition has morphed from multiple governing bodies into one cohesive government. While each region within the coalition still retains much of its culture and individual traits, they all are part of one faction and are governed by that single system.

Think of the government and mentality of The Coalition as being similar to the United States of America of the D&D World…sort of. Each region has a governor who is responsible for overseeing that particular region. The majority of the governors are chosen through some type of election; however there are still some that govern through royalty or some royalty derivative. The governors collectively choose the Coalition Chief (the overall leader of The Coalition). There is no term limit for the Chief; however there are rules in place that allow the governors to remove them from office if they feel they are not performing as they should. The current Chief, Bloodwing Ooleg, has been in power for about 30 years. He is well liked among the people and has helped greatly increase the prosperity of The Coalition.
